PRACTICE DESCRIPTION:
There are times in our lives we experience circumstances that overwhelm us. Many different circumstances such a lost of love ones, job, family through divorce, loss of self and of relationship. We may also experience stuck on what we hoped for in our lives or just being alone and feeling overwhelmed. When I work with families, individuals I apply the basic interactive and solution focused to help you in addressing effectively challenges in your life. Safety is is the number one concern in my practice. We work together to explore several issues some uncomfortable in a very safe environment. My goal is to assist you resolve challenge issues in order for you to re discover your dreams.
I believe the most important aspect of any type of therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist and this is why I strive to build a sense of connection and level of comfort that can only be established by an open and honest presence. My focus in therapy is from a client-centered, holistic, and humanistic approach(I believe you possess the answers to your problems) and I rarely work from one specific theoretical approach, often incorporating Cognitive Behavioral techniques as well as experiential strategies to process thoughts and feelings.
I also work with individuals, Children, families, and I have extensive experience with adolescents and single parent of Refugees/Immigrants families, so I often view my clients' struggles from a Family Systems model which addresses the past and present relationships people have in their lives and how they continue to experience them and play out old patterns. I prefer to be clear about what I experience and notice with my clients and it is important to convey the reality - that therapy is a challenge and can be uncomfortable at times but extremely rewarding.
I have worked in many places assisting individuals and families for over 25 years to improve their lives and relationships.
